Just add water to fall in love all over again with your backyard retreat. Relax, read, practice your yoga or just do nothing. Spend soothing quiet minutes awash in the sweet music of water cascading down your waterfall. Maybe you prefer a cool, refreshing pool, or else just the sound of the water without the pond. Both will enhance your serenity at the deepest level.

The mystery is still unfolding, with surprises still holding. “What’s next?” the mind ponders as the eye wanders in the mystical garden.

Cozy patio braced against the elements. Walls curl like a serpent, plants cascading over smooth plaster pocked with shells and ceramic tiles. A small fireplace glows like a campfire. Water flows out of rocks and into a pond that mimics the surrounding tide pools. Crabs dart among the rocks and saltwater fish seem trapped, waiting to escape with the next high tide. Pathways lead among sand dune gardens into unseen spaces. Windswept plants stand stoically above the patio in raised planters, fighting off salt spray and the other forces the ocean hurls upon them.
